Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that Ukraine needs a "clear plan" and answers to "very specific questions" from its Western allies, including which countries want to take part in a peacekeeping mission, what such a mission could look like, and how it would respond to threats. He invited representatives of allies to travel to Ukraine to develop the plan together.
Zelensky also criticized Russia, stating that it is "dragging out" talks with the US with "fake" ceasefire conditions to buy time until it stages a new offensive. He claimed that lifting sanctions on Russia now "would be a "disaster for diplomacy," stating they are "one of the few real tools the world has to pressure Russia into serious talks."
