United States President Donald Trump stated he was revoking former US President Joe Biden's security clearance and stopping his intelligence briefings.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that "there is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information," adding that he was "immediately revoking" Biden's clearances. Trump clarified that he believed Biden set the precedent when he "instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop" Trump " from accessing details on national security."
Additionally, Trump expressed that he felt he was acting in the interest of national security, stating that "Biden suffers from 'poor memory' and, even in his 'prime' could not be trusted with sensitive information."
