United States National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said on Wednesday that the US will restart sending military aid to Ukraine when Kiev and Washington finalize a minerals deal. The deal was supposed to be signed last week when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Washington, but his visit was cut short after a disagreement with US President Donald Trump.

Waltz told Fox News that he spoke to Kiev this morning about the agreement allowing the US access to Ukrainian mineral deposits, adding that it is "moving in a positive direction" after Zelensky sent a letter to Trump signaling his readiness to resume talks.
