6.9-magnitude quake strikes Papua New Guinea

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Friday.The quake's epicenter was registered 194 kilometers southeast of the town of Kimbe on Papua New Guinea's New Britain island, at a depth of 33 kilometers.
