Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in his Thursday evening address that the Ukrainian people feels "personal gratitude to Boris (Johnson)" for the former British Prime Minister's aid in Kiev's struggle against Moscow.
"Britain's role in protecting freedom is truly global. And although this is a reflection of the position of British society, the leadership and charisma of the state leader are always of special importance (...) So it is not surprising that Ukrainians feel personal gratitude to Boris," he said.
Zelensky also noted it is important that Britain's support for Ukraine does not waver, "no matter what happens in London's power cicles" and that the greater the military aid to Kiev is, the sooner the clash with Russia will end.
