183 Palestinian prisoners board buses for release

Israeli authorities have begun the process of releasing 183 Palestinian prisoners from Ofer and Negev prisons, according to Israeli media.

The prisoners have started boarding buses ahead of their expected release.

The group includes 18 prisoners serving life sentences, 54 others with long-term sentences and 111 detainees from Gaza who were arrested following Hamas's October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel.
