Authorities said Monday that a mass shooting at an after-party for the Hard Summer music festival in downtown Los Angeles left two people dead and six others wounded.
According to Los Angeles Police Officer Norma Eisenman, a "big party" was shut down in the 1100 block of 14th Place after police saw someone who may have been carrying a pistol enter the building. She added that the person was taken into custody on the spot.
According to KTLA, the party was advertised on social media as an after-party for the Hard Summer music festival, a house and techno music event taking place over the weekend at Hollywood Park, adjacent to SoFi Stadium.
