About 27 people were injured on Thursday in a collapse of a plywood pedestrian bridge in Finland's city of Espoo near Helsinki earlier this morning.
According to the Helsinki University Hospital, many of the wounded in the accident in Espoo's Tapiola district were children that were part of the Kalasatama school group.
Most of those admitted to the hospital suffered limb fractures due to falling a few meters after the bridge gave way. The police confirmed an investigation is underway but didn't provide details about what caused the collapse.
