Three empty buses exploded on Thursday in parking lots in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, Bat Yam Mayor Tzvika Brot revealed, adding that no casualties have been reported so far. "The details of the incident are still unclear, and we are carrying out searches and taking precautions at this stage to ensure there are no additional threats," the mayor said.
Additionally, Israeli media reported that two more explosive devices were disabled at other locations.
Meanwhile, Israeli police said that it is investigating the incident as a possible terror attack. "Several reports were received regarding explosions at multiple scenes in Bat Yam involving several buses. Numerous police forces are at the scene of the explosions, searching for suspects. Police bomb disposal experts are scanning for additional suspicious objects," the police stated.
