A mass shooting at Young Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, left three people dead and 14 others injured, local media reported Saturday.

The gunfire broke out around 10 pm local time during a gathering at the public park, a known music and recreation venue, according to police.

Authorities confirmed the victims who died were two 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy. Injured individuals, ranging from 16 to 36 years old, were treated at hospitals in Las Cruces and University Medical Center in El Paso.
