Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk (pictured right) warned Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban (pictured left) of serious consequences if he blocks the extension of European Union's sanctions against Russia.
Writing on X, Tusk said, "If [Orban] really blocks European sanctions at a key moment for the war, it'll be absolutely clear that in this big game for the security and future of Europe, he is playing in Putin's team, not in ours. With all the consequences of this fact."
Orban had previously linked Hungary's position on sanctions to three conditions for Ukraine. He called for the restoration of Russian gas transit, an end to attacks on the Turkish Stream pipeline and guarantees that oil transit through Ukraine will not be stopped.
