A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded in South Korea on Saturday, according to data provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
The quake is the strongest to hit South Korea this year. It struck at a shallow depth of about 12 kilometers with an epicenter in a village in the agricultural county of Goesan, which is home to around 40,000 people according to the 2021 census information.
There are no known casualties or damages as of this moment.
