Israeli police said 42 arrests were made following the shooting at a synagogue in Jerusalem that left at least 7 dead and 10 wounded. The Israeli paramedics also said 2 others were injured in a separate shooting in the city during the ongoing unrest.

The first shooter was identified by law enforcement as a 21-year-old resident of east Jerusalem, who was reportedly gunned down by the police after a brief pursuit that followed the incident. Those apprehended after the attack in question included the gunman's family members and certain people from his neighborhood. Although the incident was described as terror-related, the gunman had no connections to any known Palestinian armed groups, according to local reports.

No further information was revealed about the second shooting.
