The number of people who died in the shelling of an apartment building in Ukraine's Chasiv Yar has risen to 45, the Kyiv Independent reported, citing state emergency service.

The death toll was updated several times since the attack occurred on Saturday, with the latest information provided by President Volodymyr Zelensky notifying about 31 confirmed casualties.
