5.0-magnitude earthquake rattles Kamchatka

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of Kamchatka, Russia, according to data provided by the regional head office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The earthquake had its epicenter 174 kilometers from the municipality of Ust-Kamchatsk, home to just over 4,000 people.

Myanmar quake leaves 90 trapped in collapsed building
More than 90 people could be trapped in the wreckage of a collapsed apartment block in Mandalay, Myanmar, after a powerful earthquake, Agence France-Presse reported Saturday, citing a Red Cross official. Rescuers are searching through the remains of the Sky Villa Condominium, where several of its 12 floors crumbled. The earthquake is known to have left 1,002 dead, 2,376 injured and 30 missing in Myanmar.
