5.5-magnitude quake strikes Turkey

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 struck central Turkey on Tuesday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre's (EMSC) information.

The quake's epicenter was registered 69 kilometers northwest of the city of Osmaniye at a depth of 10 kilometers. The EMSC said this was the seventh earthquake felt in Turkey over the past 68 hours.

Earlier this year, Turkey was devastated by a massive earthquake near its border with Syria which resulted in nearly 60,000 deaths.

5.2-magnitude quake strikes China
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 struck western Xizang on Tuesday, shaking the sparsely populated region near China's border with India.According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at 4:17 pm local time at a depth of 10 kilometers.
