5.8-magnitude earthquake hits Iran

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck northwestern Iran on Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The epicenter was close to the city of Khoy in the Iranian province of West Azerbaijan.

Iran suffered a string of earthquakes last year. No casualties have been reported in the latest quake.
