6.0-magnitude quake strikes Guatemala

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck off the coast of Guatemala, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, 101 kilometers south-southwest of the town of Champerico, which has a population of around 7,800.

There have been no preliminary reports of casualties or damage to buildings.
