Dutch Bank ABN Amro appointed former chairman of the Board of Management of PwC Netherlands Robert Swaak as its new chief executive officer, the bank said in a statement on Thursday. Swaak is scheduled to take the post on April 22, succeeding Kees van Dijkhuizen who served as the company's CEO since January 2017.
"Over the past 30 years Robert has acquired broad and relevant expertise in the financial sector and he is a seasoned executive who knows the ins and outs of what it takes to run a large listed company,", Chairman of ABN AMRO’s Supervisory Board Tom de Swaan stressed.
