AC Milan fires head coach Paulo Fonseca

AC Milan announced on Monday its decision to sack its head coach Paulo Fonseca.

"The Club extends its gratitude to Paulo for his great professionalism and wishes him the very best in his future endeavors," Milan's statement read.

The news came after months of rumors of Fonseca's sacking after the club's rather disappointing results this season. In the ongoing Serie A competition, Milan is ranked eighth in the league table.
