Artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced on Monday the latest line-up of its chatbots called Claude 3, which includes three models: Claude 3 Haiku, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Opus.
"Each successive model offers increasingly powerful performance, allowing users to select the optimal balance of intelligence, speed, and cost for their specific application," Anthropic stated. The company, backed by Google and Amazon, noted Opus and Sonnet are already available in 159 countries in claude.ai and Claude API, while Haiku will be launched soon. The new chatbot models will also be available on Amazon Bedrock.
Anthropic stressed that all three Claude 3 models "show increased capabilities in analysis and forecasting, nuanced content creation, code generation, and conversing" in several languages, including Spanish, Japanese and French and have the ability to process "a wide range of visual formats, including photos, charts, graphs and technical diagrams."
