AMLO: US Republicans interventionist and corrupt

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, also known as AMLO, has accused the United States Republicans of being "interventionist" and "corrupt" after several lawmakers from the party presented an initiative that would allow the US Army to act against drug cartels on Mexican territory.

"We are not going to allow any foreign government to intervene, much less the armed forces of a foreign government to intervene in our territory," Lopez Obrador commented during a regular press conference.

Furthermore, the Mexican president indicated that if the Republicans "do not change their attitude and think that they are going to use Mexico for their propaganda, electoral, and political purposes, we are going to call for that party not to be voted for as interventionist, inhumane, hypocritical, and corrupt."
