Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has not recently been in Kiev and is currently not engaged in mediating in the Russian-Ukrainian peace talks, the businessman's representative told RBC on Sunday.
"No, this is incorrect information. Mr. Abramovich is not in Kiev and was not there recently," Abramovich's representative noted in response to recent Western media reports that the businessman is visiting the Ukrainian capital in order to assist in the ongoing negotiations.
At the end of March, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Abramovich did participate in the Russia-Ukraine talks, with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asking his United States counterpart Joe Biden to delay sanctioning the Russian oligarch.
