Abu Dhabi's Mubadala invests $436M in Bitcoin ETFs

Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala, disclosed a $436.9 million investment in iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF during the first quarter of 2025, according to a newly filed 13F report with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday.

The filing reveals that Mubadala acquired approximately 8.2 million shares of the Bitcoin ETF, signaling increased institutional interest in cryptocurrency assets.

In addition to Bitcoin ETFs, Mubadala's latest filing highlights investments in various sectors. The fund holds a significant stake in GlobalFoundries Inc., with over 450 million shares. Other major acquisitions include 15.75 million shares in Aris Mining Corporation and 14.2 million shares in NextDecade Corporation.
