Airbus in talks to buy Bombardier's stake in JV - report

Airbus SE is in talks to buy Bombardier's 34% stake in their joint venture which is focused on the development and manufacturing of the Airbus A220 commercial jetliners, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, the deal between the two companies could be reached as soon as next week, while their third JV partner, the Quebec government, is set to keep its 16% stake in the A220 program.

The financial details of the potential acquisition are still unknown.
