Airbus SE could give priority to deliveries to its customers outside the United States if tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump disrupt the European aircraft manufacturer's imports into the US, the company's CEO Guillaume Faury told CNBC on Thursday.
"We have a large demand from the rest of the world, so [if] we face very significant difficulties to deliver to the U.S., we can also adapt by bringing forward deliveries to other customers which are very eager to get planes," Faury said. He added that the company is "ready to adapt accordingly" whenever the tariffs arrive and to any impact they may have.
The CEO further said that Airbus has part of its production in the US. "So we have a lot of potential flexibilities" regarding potential duties, he concluded.
