Airbus to sell nine A350-1000 jets to Philippine Airlines

AIRBUS

Airbus SE announced Wednesday that it intends to sell nine A350-1000 to Philippine Airlines (PAL) as part of its Ultra Long Haul Fleet project. As per the company, "the Airbus A350 is the world's most efficient large widebody aircraft family."

The agreement is possible thanks to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by both parties. The move will enable the airline to make non-stop routes from Manila to North America and to the East Coast of the US and Canada.

"Flying passengers farther and in greater comfort, the A350 brings a step-change in fuel efficiency and an immediate significant contribution to reduced emissions," Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer, said.
