Alibaba Cloud announced on Thursday that it had released the latest version of its large language model (LLM), Qwen2.5, which has been deployed in more than 90,000 companies across various industries.
According to the release, the model has "remarkable advancements in reasoning, code comprehension, and textual understanding compared to its predecessor Qwen2.0." The company claims that this model performs better than OpenAI's GPT-4 model in language and creation capabilities. However, according to OpenCompass, it fell short of its competitors in other categories like knowledge, reasoning, and math.
"We look forward to collaborating with our customers and developers in seizing the immense growth opportunities presented by the latest surge in the generative AI development," Jingren Zhou, chief technology officer of Alibaba Cloud, said in a statement.
