Amazon reportedly nears deals to show NBA, NHL, MLB on Prime

Amazon.com, Inc. is nearing an agreement with Bally Sports owner Diamond Sports to secure contracts to live stream games from the NBA, MLB and NHL on Amazon Prime, The New York Post reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, the tech giant is in late-stage negotiations to secure all the Bally Sports broadcasts of games of 13 NBA franchises, five MLB teams and nine NHL teams. The sports content is expected to bcomee available through Prime starting next month.

The sources added that users will likely be charged about $20 a month to watch their home team’s local games on the platform.
