Former Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini (pictured) stressed on Thursday his party, the Nothern League (Lega), would not support the government of Mario Draghi if the Five Star Movement (M5S) was going to be a part of it.
Likewise, the M5S stated it would not back the forming if Lega did.
Their comments come shortly after former European Central Bank President Draghi accepted Italian President Sergio Mattarella's proposal to form the country's new government, following the resignation of Giuseppe Conte.
