Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu remarked on Wednesday that there are no 100% guarantees that an extension of the grain deal will be reached.
Speaking on air of the NTV, Cavusoglu said that "serious work is underway and there are hopes for success." The Turkish diplomat said that the main problem remains the non-fulfillment of Russia's requests, more specifically, the issue concerning the reconnection of the Russian Agricultural Bank to the SWIFT system.
Previously, Ankara revealed that a trilateral meeting should be held on May 5. However, the Russian Foreign Ministry said nothing has been finalized yet.
