United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, who has been described as being anti-crypto with her stance during her tenure, will not be renominated, Fox News reported on Tuesday.
A Senate aide told Fox that the original vote on her potential reappointment, which was scheduled for December 18, was canceled. This means that President-elect Donald Trump will be able to nominate a new commissioner to take her spot once he takes power in January 2025.
Crenshaw was among those against spot Bitcoin ETF approvals.
