Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov told Russia's Channel One that there is no doubt the "Nazis" who invaded Kursk region "will be destroyed."
Antonov compared the ongoing Ukrainian Kursk offensive with the Battle of Kursk during World War II, stating that "the main question [among the compatriots] was how did this happen, why did these Nazis dare to try to repeat the experience of 1941."
While insisting there is no doubt Russia will defeat the offensive, Antonov emphasized Moscow will need "to strengthen the army and navy" because threats to the country's security have not yet been eliminated.
