Apple announced on Monday the launch of its latest iMac powered by the new M4 chip, offering up to 2.1x faster performance for demanding tasks compared to previous models.
The redesigned 24-inch all-in-one desktop features Apple Intelligence, the company's new AI system for enhanced productivity and creativity. "With M4 and Apple Intelligence, it's a whole new era for iMac," said John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. The device includes a 12MP Center Stage camera, a nano-texture display option, and up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The new iMac, available in seven colors, including green, yellow, and purple, starts at $1,299 with 16GB memory. Pre-orders begin today, and the device will be available on November 8. The higher-end model with a 10-core CPU starts at $1,499 and features additional ports and expanded storage options up to 2TB.
