Apple announced on Monday the rollout of its new Apple Intelligence suite for iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices through a free software update. The features, now available via iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, bring AI-powered tools that help users refine writing, summarize notifications, enhance Siri's capabilities, and edit images with the Clean Up tool.

The release includes tools like systemwide writing aids and enhanced voice commands via Siri. Future updates are planned for December, adding more advanced text modification features and integrating ChatGPT's capabilities while preserving user privacy. The service is available on recent Apple devices equipped with A17 Pro, M1, and later chips.

CEO Tim Cook stated that Apple Intelligence represents a "new era," combining privacy-first generative AI with Apple's signature user experience. Senior VP Craig Federighi highlighted features like natural language search in Photos and on-device processing, which ensure data privacy.
