Apple launches free sports app for iPhone

Apple Inc. announced on Wednesday that it launched Apple Sports, a new free sports application for iPhone models running iOS 17.2 or later, available to download in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The new application allows users to follow real-time results and statistics of some of the major teams and leagues, such as the NBA, Bundesliga, Premier League, or LaLiga, among others.

"We created Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want - an app that delivers incredibly fast access to scores and stats," Apple's Vice President of Services Eddy Cue.
