Apple Inc. is looking to produce all of its iPhones for the United States market in India as soon as 2026, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.
According to the sources, the move is a part of the tech company's plan to expand its supply chain away from China, due to Washington and Beijing's shaky relations.
If the plan succeeds, more than 60 million iPhones will be manufactured in India annually by next year.
