Arab nations rejected United States President Donald Trump's suggestion to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, issuing a joint statement on Saturday opposing any forced movement of people from their land.

Foreign ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, along with Palestinian and Arab League officials, met in Cairo and warned that such plans could destabilize the region and worsen the conflict.

The statement emphasized that the only solution is the establishment of a Palestinian state and expressed the officials' commitment to working with Washinton to achieve a lasting peace based on a two-state solution.
