Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that there is "potential for progress" following the latest round of nuclear deal talks with the United States in Oman. He said the Iranian government now has a better understanding of the Trump administration's positions and praised Oman's involvement in helping identify obstacles and propose solutions.

Araghchi said both sides decided to carry out further expert reviews and possibly agree to some proposals. However, he warned that the negotiations are "too complicated" to be concluded within two or three meetings and hoped some solutions will be found in the next one or two rounds of discussions.
