Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Friday accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi of betraying "his duties," which led the Iranian lawmakers to decide to halt cooperation with the agency.
"This is a direct result of Rafael Grossi's regrettable role in obfuscating the fact that the Agency - a full decade ago - already closed all past issues. Through this malign action, he directly facilitated the adoption of a politically-motivated resolution against Iran by the IAEA BoG as well as the unlawful Israeli and US bombings of Iranian nuclear sites," Araghchi said in a post on X.
Additionally, the minister pointed out that Grossi's insistence on visiting Iranian nuclear facilities after the Israeli and US strikes is "meaningless and possibly even malign in intent."
