Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the state of Israel will not "end the war without a complete victory." He added that the time has come to implement United States President Donald Trump's plan for the Gaza Strip.
In a post on X, Smotrich wrote that "the State of Israel will not, God forbid, surrender to Hamas and will not end the war without a complete victory and the realization of its full goals, which include the destruction of Hamas and the return of all the hostages." He stated that "the time has come to open the gates of hell on Hamas" and "deepen fighting until the complete occupation of the Strip."
