Asia-Pacific mixed with rate decisions looming

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly mixed on Monday, with some of the region's indexes closed. During this week, investors will receive interest rate decisions from the Federal Reserve due on Wednesday and the People's Bank of China's (PBoC) for Friday.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.31% at 7:18 am CET while Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped by 0.06% at the same time. Japan's Nikkei 225, South Korea's Kospi and the stock markets in mainland China were closed amid local celebrations.

The dollar decreased by 0.42% against the yen at 7:19 am CET to sell for ¥140.2230.
