Major Asian-Pacific stock markets traded mixed on Wednesday as investors focused on the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision due later in the day. In addition, many market participants are also closely following the performance of major companies releasing their results this week.
Japan's Nikkei 225 grew by 0.33%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.29% at 7:31 am CET. South Korea's Kospi decreased by 0.11% a minute later.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.15% at 7:32 am CET. At the same time, the Shenzhen Composite was flat. On the other hand, Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 1.27%, or 265 points at 7:33 am CET.
The dollar stood flat compared to the Japanese yen at 7:28 am CET, trading for ¥136.9520.
