Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded higher on Friday after a report by Japan's Ministry of Finance revealed that the country's trade surplus on the balance of payments (BOP) basis increased in March. Investors are also looking ahead to China's inflation data due Saturday.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.53% at 3:46 am CET. South Korea's Kospi Composite added 0.76% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased by 1.58% at 3:47 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite and the Shenzhen Composite increased by 0.25% and 0.12%, respectively and Japan's Nikkei 225 was up by 0.65% at 3:48 am CET.
The dollar traded 0.09% higher against the yen, going for ¥155.6105 at 3:48 am CET.
