Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Thursday after South Korea's central bank unexpectedly slashed its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 3%.
South Korea's Kospi Composite traded flat at 3:24 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 added 0.68% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped by 1.09% at 3:26 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite traded flat and the Shenzhen Composite decreased by 0.12%. Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.41% at 3:29 am CET.
The dollar traded 0.25% higher against the yen, going for ¥151.4660 at 3:30 am CET.
