Asian stock indexes traded mixed on Thursday as investors awaited China's May trade balance report. Previously, United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen confirmed the US plans to reconfigure tariffs on Chinese goods.
The Nikkei 225 grew by 0.16% at 4:35 am CET, while the Kospi Composite fell by 0.60% at 4:44 am CET, the S&P/ASX 200 slumped by 1% and Hang Seng dropped 0.22% at the same time. The Shanghai Composite was down by 0.60% at 4:32 am CET, and the Shenzhen Composite decreased by 0.98% at 4:47 am CET.
The dollar traded flat compared to the yen, selling for 134.2450 at 4:48 am CET.
