Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific market traded mixed on Tuesday, with Hong Kong's Hang Seng index leading gains after Xiaomi Corporation's shares surged following the launch of its SU7 electric vehicle. Meanwhile, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 briefly touched the 7,910.500 mark, hitting a record high.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.07% at 4:27 am CET, with South Korea's Kospi Composite up by 0.23% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 2.51% at 4:28 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite and the Shenzhen Composite decreased by 0.24% and 0.92% respectively, and Japan's Nikkei 225 was up by 0.14% at 4:29 am CET.
The dollar traded flat against the yen, going for ¥151.7220 at 4:30 am CET.
