Asian stock markets traded mixed on Tuesday, with the Kospi Composite climbing to a high unseen since February 2022. Over in Japan, Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said that the government continues to monitor foreign exchange markets and that the Bank of Japan does not rule out any steps to regulate "disorderly" movements.
The Kospi Composite rose by 1.33% at 3:12 am CET, the Hang Seng was up by 0.27%, and the Shenzhen Composite added 0.44%. Meanwhile, the Nikkei 225 lost 0.10% at 3:13 am CET, the S&P/ASX 200 declined by 0.13%, and the Shanghai Composite fell by 0.15%.
The dollar traded 0.08% lower compared to the yen at 3:14 am CET, selling for 151.29600.
