Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded with mixed results on Monday's session as the Bank of Japan reported that the country's producer price index rose 10% in April. For the same period, the Chinese industrial production declined 2.9% and its retail sales dropped 11.1% amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown impositions.
In South Korea, the Kospi Composite lost 0.16% at 5:00 am CET. At 4:45 am CET, the Chinese Shanghai Composite decreased 0.37% while the Shenzhen Composite was down 0.31%.
The Nikkei 225 was up 0.24% at its 4:35 am CET break, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was 0.22% in the green at 5:00 am CET. At the same time, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 0.16%. The dollar was down 0.20% against the yen at 4:58 am CET, going for ¥128.9845.
