Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Thursday as investors digested the latest trade balance data from China, alongside the Federal Reserve's minutes, which indicated that the world's largest economy might see a "mild recession" in 2023.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite was flat at 7:06 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite slid 0.68% a minute later. At 7:08 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 0.29%, while South Korea’s Kospi Composite added 0.14% simultaneously.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.35% at 7:08 am CET, while Japan's Nikkei gained 0.27% concurrently. The dollar traded 0.09% higher against the yen at 7:09 am CET, selling for 133.23700.
